“Sacred Space”
“Years ago, before the ‘Restoration’ of Blarney
Castle in County Cork,
I wandered down behind this magnificent stronghold of the MacCarthys,
and found the wood which is now called [I believe]
the ‘Witches Close’. As I approached this ancient circle of stone and
ancient Yews, the hair on the back of my neck literally tingled, folks.
Two decades later I was finally able to put this experience on canvas. I
call it ‘Sacred Space’ for a good reason.”
