"Yew trees can grow for centuries, and are often associated with death and reincarnation. Yews were high on the list of trees that were sacred to the Druids, and the wood of the Yew was used for carving tools of divination. Likewise, a Yew was often the central “world tree” in sacred spaces. The spirit of this venerable tree spoke to me, and here I pay homage to it."

The linen canvas is 20 x 24 inches and the painting is
framed in a wide gold frame.
