About the Artist

Grace and Roses

"The carding and spinning of wool was a common, and often necessary, task in the early days of Ireland and Scotland. When I decided to depict this scene, the essence of my dear friend Grace just appeared on the canvas; and so, I dedicate this painting to Grace Croke, whose late husband, Bernard, was a Photographer par excellence of Ireland."
